Child Program
Specially designed for children ages 5-12, the Acadia Abilene Children's Program provides a controlled and structured environment for children experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties. Through group, expressive, and play therapies, patients begin to learn healthy behaviors to help them cope with their issues.
Adolescent Program
The Acadia Abilene Adolescent Program treats young people ages 13-18. The turbulent times of adolescence require empathy and structure, and our program is designed to provide an environment in which we can help adolescents understand the problems they are facing, then learn coping skills designed towards those problems.
Adult Program
For men and women ages 18-64, the Acadia Abilene Adult Program provides services that inspire understanding and effective coping. Helping you take the courageous steps necessary to deal with both the situational and chronic stressors that result in emotional and mental trauma are the focus of our staff as they get you on the road to feeling better.
Senior Adult (Geriatric) Program
For those age 65 and older, the Acadia Abilene Geriatric Program helps seniors and their families understand, and effectively cope with psychiatric conditions associated with aging. Our professional staff strives to provide the highest caliber of care to enhance the senior adult's quality of life.
Chemical Dependency Program
In addition to crisis stabilization, the Acadia Abilene Chemical Dependency Program focuses on rehabilitation and recovery for adults ages 18 and older. With inpatient and outpatient programming that spans up to 10 weeks, adults with chemical dependency issues regain control of their lives - one step at a time.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Acadia Abilene's Partial Hospitalization Program is designed to assist individuals who require stabilization without the intensity of inpatient hospitalization. This service offered for adult patients with a psychiatric or dual diagnosis. The program assists individuals in developing skills in order to handle daily stressors in a healthy way.
Acadia Lodge
For those who would like to access our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and live too far away to commute, the Acadia Abilene Lodge offers the perfect solution. The Lodge, a self-contained, dormitory-style facility, is located on the Acadia Abilene campus, and affords its residents the opportunity to have a safe environment while learning and developing new, healthier ways of living. Individuals may be referred to the PHP and the Lodge by a general practitioner, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other behavioral health professional.
