Dr. Duane Miller, M.D. (E-mail)
Dr. Miller has been a fixture in Abilene psychiatry for more than 25 years. He has worked for the hospital under all three of its names, and treats all ages of patients with psychiatric, CD and co-occuring diagnoses -- both inpatient and outpatient. He received his pre-med and medicine degrees from the University of Oklahoma. He did his residency at Stanford University, and was a major in the Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam War.
Dr. Waseem Ahmed, M.D. (E-mail)
Dr. Ahmed is Board eligible in Adult Psychiatry and treats all ages of patients with psychiatric, CD and co-occuring diagnoses -- inpatient only. He received his undergraduate degree from Superior Science College in Karachi, Pakistan, and his medical degree from the Dow Medical and Health Science University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internship at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, NY; and did his residency at the University of Texas Behavioral Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. John Casada, M.D., Ph.D. (E-mail)
Dr. Casada is Board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and treats adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with psychiatric, CD and co-occurring diagnoses -- outpatient only. He received his undergraduate and masters degrees from Abilene Christian University; he received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas Behavioral Health Science Center in Houston. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan, and is a member of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fellowship at Michigan.
Judy Creech, RN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC (E-mail)
Judy has been associated with the hospital since the 1980s. She is dually certified as a family nurse practitioner, and a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She holds an ANCC national certification for family psych practitioners; and an AANP national certification for family nurse practitioners. She treats patients of all ages with psychiatric, CD and cooccuring diagnoses -- inpatient and outpatient. She graduated with her BSN from Abilene Intercollegiate School of Nursing; received her MSN from Texas Women's University; and holds two post-master's degrees -- one from AISN and one from the University of Texas-Arlington. She supervises our Chief Nursing Officer, and is a preceptor for UTA and USA advanced practice students.
Pamela DeMone, MSN, APRN-BC, PMHMP (E-mail)
Pam is Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and treats patients of all ages with psychiatric, CD and cooccuring diagnoses -- outpatient only. She received her BSN degree from Graceland College in Independence, Mo.; her FNP from Hardin-Simmons University; and her post-graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification from the University of Texas in Arlington.
